UW Off-Network Login Authentication Brings Change for Users

University of Wyoming Information Technology will move to an enhanced off-network login authentication, called Duo Verified Push, effective Monday, March 18.

UW employees who access UW resources from home or while traveling will need to use the Duo iPhone/Android App from their smartphones or use a YubiKey. Phone call-based authentication will no longer be available after March 18.

Starting that date, Duo users will need to input the six-digit code from their Duo app to log in.

Those currently using phone call-based authentication can follow these instructions for the app or get a YubiKey from IT. If you have any questions or need a YubiKey, call the IT Help Desk at (307) 766-HELP (4357), option 1, or email userhelp@uwyo.edu.
