Dr. Joslyn Cassady and Dr. Tom Grant co-coordinate the Honors Capstone program. They assist and mentor students throughout the entire process, from brainstorming ideas and helping students understand Honors Capstone requirements to making the finishing touches on a Capstone project to ready it for publication.
Janice Grover-Roosa assists students with the research process in a variety of different ways. She helps students navigate the many resources UW Libraries have to offer, assists students with creating individual research plans, and much more!
Karagh Brummond is an Assistant Instructional Professor in the Honors College and is the Director of the UW Top-Tier Science Initiative Engagement and Outreach Program. In the fall, Karagh teaches Neuroscience and Law for the Honors College and in the spring teaches both Human Systems Physiology (ZOO 3115) and in the new CURE (Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience) curriculum with the Science Initiative and LIFE Program.
Paula Kihn teaches in the Fay W. Whitney School of Nursing and is the school's liaison with the Honors College. Nursing students in the Honors College should coordinate with Ms. Kihn to discuss options for Honors Capstone projects and nursing course work that applies to Capstone projects. Several Evidence-Based Practicum (EBP) courses within the nursing majors can be used as the basis for an Honors Capstone project.
