Non-Competitor Involvement

Currently, the Wyoming $10K Entrepreneurship Competition is coordinated by the University of Wyoming Management and Marketing Department. We rely, however, on the help of many people within the current UW population, within Wyoming, and even people outside of Wyoming. You can be involved with the $10K in many ways:

Sponsor the Competition:

Judge the Competition:

You can help review the entries and choose the winners of the $10K.

Judges, generally, can be segmented into five categories: successful entrepreneurs; patent attorneys; local accountants/insurance agents; bankers/investors, and professional service providers. Some have strong ties to UW, but it is not a requirement. We welcome contact from anyone who is interested in judging.

Judging in the initial stages is done electronically. Your physical presence is requested at the actual competition.

Speak at an Event:

We are currently looking for interesting people to speak at our various events, either as a keynote speaker or a panelist. Entrepreneurs and people involved with entrepreneurship provide a great perspective and are able to give tips and advice that will help our current participants. If you have a strong background in a particular area, such as marketing or finance, you may want to speak at a spring workshop focusing on your area of business interest. Mentor a Current Team:

You may be interested in helping a current team of students through the competition process and the beginning stages of forming a company. Attend Events:

You are more than welcome to join us at our public events. Those events can be found on our calendar. Some of these events require online pre-registration from links on the calendar.
