Configure a Dial-up Connection to the Internet in Macintosh Operating System X (MacOS X 10.0, 10.1.x, 10.2.x)IntroductionThe University of Wyoming (UW) provides students, staff, and faculty with off-campus dial-up Internet access at no cost. This access requires that you have a functioning dial-up modem, a phone connection, and a valid UWYO domain account. For computers that are not UW-owned, Information Technology supports only the UW-specific setup and configuration of the software as presented in this document. ProcedureNOTE: With MacOS X, you can use the Network System Preference panel to set up your Internet connection. Unlike previous versions of the Macintosh operating system, all the necessary settings are available within this single panel. 1. Configuring the Dial-up Connection
