SAREC near Lingle hosts Western Society of Crop Science meeting
Members of a society encompassing the Northern Hemisphere will converge on the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension Center (SAREC) near Lingle June 19-21.
Forage and biomass crops, cereal grains, innovative cropping systems and legume crops are on the Western Society of Crop Science (WSCS) agenda.
There will be13 poster papers and 30 presentations by individuals. The program is available on-line at http://crops.confex.com/crops/ws2006/techprogram/MEETING.HTM
Members will observe field plots at SAREC and will also tour Wyoming Ethanol and Heartland BioComposites in Torrington.
Registration will be available on-site and is $100. The fee includes lunch, tours, a barbecue dinner, breaks and membership dues in WSCS.
WSCS members include the states and provinces of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming; American Samoa; Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territory, Canada; American Samoa; Guam; and Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Colima, Durango, Jalisco, Nayarit, Sinaloa, and Sonora, Mexico.
