University of Wyoming Calendar for Nov. 2-8

Wednesday, Oct. 31-Saturday, Nov. 3, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m. -- UW Department of Theatre and Dance presents the dance concerts “Fire and Ice” and “The Pink Blue,” Fine Arts Center Main Stage Theatre. Tickets cost $7 for students, $11 for senior citizens, and $14 for others.

Friday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Department of Music presents Jazz Ensembles I and II, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Friday, Nov. 2, 5 p.m. -- UW Department of Art hosts David Linneweh as part of its Visiting Artist Series, Fine Arts Center Room 111. Free.

Saturday, Nov. 3, 6 p.m. -- UW Art Museum Gala 2007, an evening of celebration. For tickets or more information, call (307) 766-3477.

Sunday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m. -- UW Department of Music presents The Snowy Range Piano Competition, sponsored by the Linford Pfeifer Foundation, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Monday, Nov. 5, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Department of Music presents Civic Chorus and Community Band, Fine Arts Center concert hall. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 7, 6 p.m. -- Arthur B. LaFrance presents the 2007 Rudolph Lecture, "Physician Assisted Suicide: The Oregon Experience," Room 142 UW College of Law. Free.

Wednesday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. -- UW Student Activities Council presents “Freedom Sings,” performance and discussion of songs that have been banned from the airwaves, College of Arts and Sciences auditorium. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 8, 6 p.m. -- Thursday Night Garden Party presents singer/songwriter Rebecca Folsam, Wyoming Union Gardens. Free.

Thursday, Nov. 8, 7:30 p.m. -- The UW Symphony Orchestra presents “Expect the Unexpected,” Fine Arts Center concert hall. Tickets cost $6 for students, $7 for senior citizens, and $10 for others.
