University of Wyoming Calendar for June 20-26

June 20, 11:30 a.m. -- Summer Solstice Celebration with astronomer Ray Martin on the Art Museum Terrace for a glimpse at the sun. Watch the sun illuminate a silver dollar in the center of the Rotunda Gallery. Free and open to the public.

Sunday, June 22 Wyoming Humanities Council presents a day-long bus tour to beat hangouts in Denver with UW poet Craig Arnold and guided by Audrey Sprenger from the Denver Public Library, a national Kerouac expert. The bus departs Laramie at 9 a.m. and Cheyenne at 10 a.m. The trip is free, but participants will be responsible for their own meals. Tuesday, June 24-Saturday, June 28, 7:30 p.m. -- UW Summer Theatre presents “Last Train to Nibroc,” Fine Arts Center Studio Theatre. Tickets are $5 for students, $8 for seniors and $10 for general admission.
