nutrition program coordinator joins Natrona County CES office
Karla Case has joined the Natrona County University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service office as Cent$ible Nutrition Program (CNP) project coordinator and county educator.
CNP teaches people to eat more sensibly on a budget.
“I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to work with the community as a nutrition educator,” said Case. “The CNP does an incredible job of teaching people so many important lessons, and I plan to contribute to the program by reaching and teaching as many people as I can.”
CNP is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Stamp Program.
Case is originally from Alaska and spent 15 years in Arizona where she received her bachelor’s degree in nutritional science from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She, her husband and their two children moved to Casper in July 2001. “We fell in love with this town and plan to remain here for a long time!” she said.
She recently completed a dietetic internship while working at Wyoming Medical Center and is a registered dietitian.
“I have always wanted to work with the community and am excited to get started as a nutrition educator.”
She can be reached at (307) 235-9400 or at kcase@natronacounty-wy.gov.
