Research Interests:

Dr. Kotlarek specializes in craniofacial disorders and imaging. Her main research interests include improving surgical and speech outcomes for individuals born with cleft palate. Her research has primarily focused on describing velopharyngeal muscle morphology and determining the effect of surgical intervention on the velopharyngeal mechanism of individuals born with cleft palate.
