Infant Room

Infants at playThe infant room is designed for children ages 3 months through 15 months.  There is maximum enrollment of 8 children.  The full time lead teacher holds a degree in early childhood education and State of Wyoming Infant/Toddler certification.  Two part-time assistant teachers have either an associates degree or experience and relevant course work at a university level.  Additional help is usually given by teacher aides who assist with transition times in the room.  Mealtime for the infants is individualized for each child's needs.  Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided for those who are eating full meals.  A small, private room with in the infant room is available for parents who wish to breast-feed or bottle-feed their infants.

Special consideration is given to each individual child in the infant room.  Individual schedules with regards to eating and sleeping are honored.  The staff make sure that each child has one on one time with the caregivers in the room as well as opportunities to explore the toys, art, music, gross motor play, and relationships with peers.  Parent involvement and communication are essential to child well-being and family satisfaction.

Parents receive regular reports on their child's day.  Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled twice a year and more frequent conferences are encouraged.  We have an open door policy and encourage parents to visit when possible.
