The Surplus Chemical Program was created to reduce the volume of chemical waste and the cost of disposal. At the same time it helps campus teaching, research, and service units to save the costs of purchasing new chemicals.

A wide variety of "pre-owned" chemicals are available. Some have never been opened. Others, though still usable, were no longer needed by their original owners. The inventory contains both common and not-so-common chemicals, including solvents, acids, indicators, organic research chemicals, and inorganic reagents.

To request a surplus chemical or to obtain further information please call the RMMC at 766-3696. The surplus chemicals you request will be delivered to you at no cost.
