Who we are. The University of Wyoming environment and
natural resources program is made up of the Helga Otto Haub School and the
William D. Ruckelshaus Institute. Both are dedicated to understanding
and affecting complex environmental and natural resource challenges,
bringing balance and information to bear on ENR challenges.
Haub School and Ruckelshaus Institute - working toward a common goal.
The Haub School and Ruckelshaus Institute are two parts of the
same organization, with the School dedicated to teaching and learning, and
the Institute devoted to research, outreach, and service. We share
staff, we share the same home in Wyoming Hall, and we complement one
another's work. More specifically...
The Helga Otto Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources is an interdisciplinary program that allows students to specialize in a specific field while, at the same time, exposing students to the thought processes of the many other disciplines that are involved in environmental and natural resources studies.
The William D. Ruckelshaus Institute is a partnership among UW faculty and students, a prominent advisory board composed of leaders from business, industry, environmental organizations, education and government, and the aspirations of a land grant university.
