Refunds

For fast and secure refunds directly deposited into your bank account, set up WyoRefunds!


CHECK REFUNDS

Checks are mailed once a week on Wednesdays.

They are sent to your current mailing address on file.

If you do not have a current mailing address, or your mailing address is outside of the United States, your check will be sent to our office.

Be sure to update your mailing address if you move to a new address.

ELECTRONIC REFUNDS

Electronic refunds are processed daily.

Once a refund has been processed electronically, you should receive it in your bank account in 2-5 business days.

Make sure that, if you have changed your bank account, you delete the old account and enter the correct information for your new account. You cannot make changes to an existing refund account.

Pending vs. Check vs. Electronic

  • If your refund is pending a check, it will say Pending Credit Balance Refund.

  • If your refund has printed a check, it will say Credit Balance Paper Check (the date listed is the date the refund was first processed as pending, not the date the check was sent in the mail).

  • If your refund has been processed electronically to your WyoRefunds account, it will say Electronic Refund (remember it takes 2-5 business days to show up in your account).


PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOUR REFUND CHECK IS DUE TO TITLE IV FEDERAL FUNDS AND NOT CASHED WITHIN 90 DAYS, THE FUNDS WILL BE RETURNED TO THE LENDER!

How do I update my mailing address to receive my refund check?
  • Log into WyoWeb

  • Click on the Personal Information tab

  • Click on Update Addresses and Phone Numbers

  • You should see a list of active addresses here.  The types of addresses you can update are:  Mailing, Permanent, Financial Aid, Parent, Emergency Contact, Diploma, etc.

  • You will want to update your MAILING address!

  • To update an address, click on "Current" on the left-hand side under the Mailing address.

  • If you do not have a mailing address, you may add a new one by selecting "Mailing" in the "Type of Address to Insert" pull-down menu towards the bottom of the page. 

  • Enter in your information! 

  • Do not forget to include an apartment number, unit number, or mailbox number, etc. if you have one at your address!

  • Note:  you are not required to fill out the "Until the date" - you may leave it blank.  If you do enter an "Until this date" the system will inactivate the address on the date you provided.

  • When you are finished, click on Submit!
