ASUW Chinese Ambassador's Wyoming Scholar:
The Chinese Ambassador's Wyoming Scholar (CAWS) Program was established through the generosity of the Government of the People's Republic of China and its Ambassador to the U.S. in 2007. The program funds one UW student for one year of study in China and is a full scholarship covering most expenses associated with the study, other than travel to China. The award goes to an outstanding student with a desire to pursue study in China in any discipline, including but not limited to study of the Chinese language. Applications are open to both undergraduate and graduate students. For information on how to apply, please contact the Education Abroad Office, studyabd@uwyo.edu.
The Chinese Ambassador’s Wyoming Scholar program is jointly administered through a partnership between ASUW and the Education Abroad Office. The Embassy of the People's Republic of China to the United States administers the scholarship and additionally required processes after the CAWS scholar is chosen by ASUW.
