UW Trustees Tentative November Agenda

Oct. 29, 2003 -- Members of the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will conduct their November meeting starting with an orientation session for new members Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Old Main boardroom.

Friday, Nov. 7, trustees will hear a briefing on graduate medical education during a 7 a.m. breakfast at the Foundation House. Work sessions resume Friday at 10:30 a.m. following an executive session that starts at 8:15 a.m.

The board may move into its business meeting if sessions conclude Friday. If not, the regular business meeting, in which trustees take formal action on agenda items, is scheduled at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Old Main boardroom, following an executive session that starts at 8 a.m. and a breakfast work session on initiating a tuition study scheduled at 7 a.m. in the Foundation House.

No action will be taken during the work and educational sessions, and members of the public are welcome to attend any meeting except the executive sessions.

Thursday, Nov. 6:

2:30 p.m. -- New Board Members Orientation

Friday, Nov. 7:

7 a.m. -- Breakfast Work Session: Graduate Medical Education, UW Foundation House.

8:15-10:30 a.m. -- Executive Session, Old Main Boardroom.

10:45 a.m. -- Work Sessions: Endowment Transfer Agreement; Introduction of Intercollegiate Athletics Director; Presentation of Annual Audited Financial Reports; Academic Planning Update; Pharmacy Tuition Differential.

Noon-1:15 p.m. -- Lunch.

1:30 p.m. -- Recognition: Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity; Mortar Board.

2 p.m. -- Work Sessions: Deletion of UniReg 406, Academic Program Planning; Prexy's Pasture Plan; Review and Discussion of 2003-2004 Board Goals.

3 p.m. -- Education Sessions: 2003 Fall Enrollment; SIS (Student Information System) Replacement Plan; UW Center for Volunteer Services; Block Grant Report; SAREC (Sustainable Agriculture Research and Extension Center) Acquisition of Gillaspie Land.

Information Sessions: Internal Audit Activity; ELS Language Centers; "Most Connected" Campus Ranking; Change Orders and Progress Reports; Development Report; Family Practice Residency Centers Join the WWAMI Network; Major Scholarship Recipients.

Trustees may move into executive session or the business meeting if time permits.

Saturday, Nov. 8:

7-8 a.m. -- Breakfast Work Session: Initiation of Tuition Study, UW Foundation House.

8-9 a.m. -- Executive Session, Old Main Boardroom.
