BRAND Advising & Registration

Bachelors Reach for Accelerated Nursing Degree

Advising Process

Because the curriculum for the BRAND Program is a set sequence, there is no flexibility in what courses students must take. Therefore, traditional advising from the BRAND program usually occurs prior to admission as the student prepares to apply for the program.

Degree Works

Early in the third semester (by the end of February) students must submit the Anticipated Graduation Date form to the Office of the Registrar. The submission of this form triggers a degree check by the Office of the Registrar. All requirements indicated by the degree check must be met prior to a student being cleared for graduation.

Questions/concerns? Please contact the BRAND office (BRAND@uwyo.edu) or 307-766-6565.

Registration

  • When to Register

All registrations are completed through WyoWeb regardless of the format in which the course may be offered (on campus, online, outreach).

    • Students are notified by the BRAND office via email when registration becomes available for the BRAND program courses.

    • "CRNs" (Course Registration Numbers) are needed for the registration process and are given to students in the registration notification email.

    • The nursing courses for the BRAND program are not identified in the Class Schedules or within the 'Look Up Classes' feature in WyoWeb.

    • Once students have been notified that they have registration access, and have been given their CRNs for their courses, they can then log in to WyoWeb as follows.

      • Click on the 'Student Resources' tab and find the 'Registration Tools' channel.

      • Click on 'Health Insurance Coverage' to make a decision regarding Student Medical Insurance - make selection.

      • Click on 'Registration Status' to check for holds and eligibility to register. Any registration holds must be cleared before students can complete any registration activity (the system will not allow access prior to this).

      • Proceed with registration by accessing the 'Add or Drop Classes' link.

    • For further assistance, view an 'online audio-visual demonstration' on how to enroll in classes via WyoWeb.

  • "W" Numbers

    (excerpt from UW Class Schedule)

    • The "W" number is a student identification number. It is a randomly assigned 8-digit number preceded by a W.

    • The "W" number may be found on WyoWeb. Go to the "Student Resources" tab and click any of the links in the "Registration Tools" channel. The "W" number may be found beneath student name in the upper right corner of the screen.

    • The "W" number replaces a student's social security numbers as their student identification number. They will need it whenever they fill out petitions, cash a check at the Cashier's Office, speak to Student Financial Aid, and speak to the Registrar's Office. They do not need to know their "W" number to enroll in classes.
