English Language Proficiency Policy

Nursing admission related to non-native English-speaking students taking the TOEFL for iBT:

Non-native English-speaking students must submit TOEFL iBT result with a minimum total score of 90 iBT with minimum skill scores of:

  • Reading component no less than 21
    (high end of Intermediate level and levels for this criteria include High, Intermediate, & Low)

  • Listening component no less than 21
    (high end of Intermediate level and levels for this criteria include High, Intermediate, & Low)

  • Speaking component no less than 25
    (high end of Fair level and levels for this criteria include Good, Fair, Limited, & Weak)

  • Writing component no less than 23
    (high end of Fair level and levels for this criteria include Good, Fair, & Limited)

Please note: There will be an opportunity to retake the TOEFL prior to application to the nursing major in order to achieve the minimum TOEFL scores.
