Mission Statement
The role of the Office of Institutional Analysis is to support planning and management by providing high quality information to those officers of the University charged with developing and implementing policy, and to serve as a reliable source for comprehensive and authoritative information about the institution.

Objectives and Goals

  • Develop analytic models, special analyses, and research studies to support the planning and decision-making processes.
  • Provide information to colleges and departments within the University as well as respond to inquiries from other institutions and external agencies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, comprehensive databases to support planning and management decision-making.
  • Provide analytic consultation and assistance to administrative and academic units as well as to University committees.
  • Participate in the development and establishment of University-wide policies for management of information resources. Coordinate with those offices and individuals that maintain university information. This coordination will assist in reaching institutional goals of validity, reliability, and consistency of University data.
  • Contribute to the theory and practice of institutional research by participating in professional organizations, such as AIR (Association for Institutional Research), RMAIR (Rocky Mountain AIR), and SCUP (Society for College and University Planning). Encourage professional and personal development through workshops and classes.
