 |
Dean John Vandel welcomed the class of 2010 to the School of Pharmacy professional program during a day of orientation held on August 25, 2006. Following orientation, the students, their family and friends, and faculty attended the White Coat Ceremony followed by a reception.
The white coat presented to the students is symbolic of the students' professionalism and commitment to their future patients and colleagues. It stands for honor, integrity, duty, accountability, respect for others, excellence and altruism.
Admission to the professional program is limited and competitive. This year's incoming class of 52 was selected from 587 applicants. The average Science and Math GPA for the incoming class is 3.71.
