Student Organizations Announce Awards

ASHP Member of the Year, Jessie Earl, with Jonathan Beattie and Dean Vandel.

School of Pharmacy student organizations presented the following awards during the Annual Honors and Awards Banquet May 2 at the Crane-Hill Cafeteria.

American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Member of the Year award was presented to Jessie Earl.

American Pharmacists Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) presented the following awards: UW Chapter of ASP Service Achievement Award to Rebecca Long; APhA-ASP Senior Recognition Certificate to Jihye Kim; and the Academy of Student Pharmacists Professionalism Award to Erin Culver.

National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) presented the Member of the Year award to Kendra Van Grinsven; Honor Cords to Kylee Kern, Rachel Bosecker, Krista Tafoya, Katie Baker; and the Faculty Appreciation Award to Dr. Kem Krueger.

Phi Delta Chi Brother of the Year was presented to Shanna O'Connor and Kylee Kern; Appreciation Awards to Jama Palmer and Jo Ann Rule; New Brother of the Year to Sarah Simpson; and Cords to Shanna O'Connor, Kylee Kern.

Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Honorary presented the Member of the Year to Stephanie Buck-Crolla; Teacher of the Year to Dr. Kem Krueger; Initiates were Ron Yoxey, James Fox, Nathan Temme, Jessica Hopper, Jessica Williams, Jenna Gradisher, Leena Myran, Kellie Nevins, William Malik, Lindsay Hueckstaedt; and Cords to Sara Yennie, Kerri Powell, Shanna O'Connor, Maureen Hunter, Dax Rice.

Rho Chi Pharmacy Honorary presented P1 Achievement Certificates to Jenna Gradisher, Jessica Hopper, Morganne Smyth, Kara Kent, Amy Borcher, Mary Engelhardt, Leena Myran; Cords to Kristine Pippitt, Lafe Ellerbeck, Kylee Kern, Mitchell Daley, Amanda Lenz, Paul Geu, Dax Rice, Krista Tafoya, Sara Yennie; and New Initiates were Derek Barsness, Troy Brin, Kelsey Gilmour, Lindsay Hueckstaedt, Crystal Huntrods, Trent Jebens, William Malik, Joshua Pecoraro, Christi Swaby, Patricia Taylor, Bonnie Walno.
