The University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy (UWSOP) is pleased to announce the winners of this year's local American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Clinical Skills Competition, P4 Pharm.D. candidates Kendra Van Grinsven and Jessie Earl Ritter.
The Clinical Skills Competition is an opportunity for contestants to test their clinical skills by analyzing a patient case, writing a detailed pharmacotherapy plan, and presenting their recommendations orally to a panel of judges. Kendra and Jessie will represent the UWSOP at this year's ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting national competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December. For their efforts, they receive a complimentary registration to the Midyear Clinical Meeting sponsored by ASHP, and a $500 reimbursement award from the UWSOP.
Judges for this year's competition included Dr. Tonja Woods, Dr. Michelle Hilaire, and Dr. Christie Nelson, faculty for the UWSOP, and Dr. Kristine Pippitt, PGY1 pharmacy resident at the Community Health Center of Central Wyoming. Dr. Jaime Hornecker coordinated the event. Posted on Tuesday, September 29, 2009
