COLLEGE LEVEL EXAMINATION PREP (CLEP) tests give students coming to the University of Wyoming the chance to earn college credits and fulfill UW requirements before they begin their freshman year.
The chart shows all of the test subjects currently accepted at UW. It includes the minimum credit-earning scores, the names of the courses for which you can earn credit, and the number of hours which will be awarded.
If a test is not listed here and if you received a score of three (3) on an AP exam or forty (40) on a CLEP test, you may want to contact the appropriate department at UW in case credit may be awarded. Many tests are looked at on a student-by-student basis.
The University of Wyoming does not award credit for CLEP general exams.
The University of Wyoming Testing Center (307-766-2188) can schedule CLEP and other credit-earning tests.
To request that CLEP exam results be sent to UW, please visit http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/scores.html.
