Volunteer Meeting for Summer Dance Festival

June 11, 1998 -- A meeting of volunteers for the University of Wyoming's Fourth Annual Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival is set for Tuesday June 16, at 7 p.m. in the Wind River Conference Room of the School of Extended Studies.

Patricia Tate, UW professor and dance festival director, is asking UW students and area residents to volunteer their time and talent during the next six weeks to prepare for festival events and to work the week of the dance festival, which annually brings more than 70 students, teachers and guest artists into the community.

"We need community expertise in promotion, chauffeuring, planning and hosting special events for the students and guest artists, providing community services, and chaperoning young students at events and activities," Tate says. "More scholarships are needed to help many of these talented youngsters attend the dance festival and we appreciate the interest of anyone who would be interested in supporting a full or partial-tuition scholarship."

The Fourth Annual Snowy Range Summer Dance Festival is scheduled July 23-Aug. 2. For more information, call Tate at (307) 766-3283.
