Dance Lessons Offered for Jubilee Days

July 7, 1998 -- Get into the Jubilee Days swing with free dance lessons from 7:30-9 p.m. Saturday, July 11, just prior to the street dance in downtown Laramie.

Don "the Danceman" Roberts will teach everyone who wants to learn to dance or brush up on their skills. The lessons are sponsored by University of Wyoming Noncredit Enrichment Classes and KCGY radio station.

Roberts also will teach UW noncredit enrichment classes covering western dance, swing, and ballroom and Latin dance on Tuesdays, July 14, 21 and 28, at the Quadra Dangle Square Dance Club, 3905 Gray's Gable Rd. The fee for each class is $19 in advance or $23 at the door.

Western Dance I, featuring the Texas two-step, triple step and Pretzel, is from 5:50-7:20 p.m.; Ballroom and Latin Dance I, featuring the Fox Trot, Jitterbug, Waltz, Tango and Polka, is from 7:20-8:50 p.m.; and Swing I, featuring the nationally-popular forms of swing with moves like the sliding door, banana split and the pretzel, is from 8:50-10:20 p.m.
