UW Theatre And Dance 2004 2005 Season

Sept. 10, 2004 -- Audiences will enjoy performances ranging from classics to comedies during the University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance 2004 2005 performance season.

To purchase tickets or for more ticket information, contact the theatre box office at (307) 766 6666 or fatickets@uwyo.edu. Season tickets cost $72 for the general public and $60 for senior citizens. All season ticket orders must be received in the Fine Arts ticket office by Oct. 1.

Curtain times for all shows are 7:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. for matinees. Individual ticket prices are $13 for adults, $11 for seniors (over 60), and $6 for UW students. For more performance information visit the UW Theatre and Dance Web page at www.uwyo.edu/th&d.

Performances begin Oct. 5 9 on the Fine Arts Center Main Stage with "All My Sons," written by Arthur Miller and directed by Wolf Sherrill. This theatrical performance is a powerful drama about America's irrevocable loss of innocence during World War II.

"The Little Train That Could (But Chose Not To)," written by UW playwright William Missouri Downs and directed by Professor Rebecca Hilliker, shows Nov. 8 14 in the Fine Arts studio theatre.

Students will showcase their work in the "UW Student Written One Acts" Nov. 20 21 in the Fine Arts studio theatre.

"Coppelia," a classical/comic ballet for the entire family, shows Dec. 7 12 on the Fine Arts Center main stage.

Showing Feb. 8 12 on the Fine Arts Center main stage is "Book of Days," written by Lanford Wilson and directed by UW professor Lee Hodgson.

From classic jazz to upbeat swing to innovative compositions, the "Spring Dance Show," choreographed by UW Professor Mel Claridge, will show March 3 5 at the College of Arts and Sciences auditorium.

Shakespeare's comedy "Love's Labour Lost," directed by UW professor Leigh Selting, shows April 19 24 on the Fine Arts Center main stage.
