HYDROLOGIC SCIENCE PROGRAM:

Water Resources/Environmental Science & Engineering

 

The University of Wyoming Hydrologic Science Program is an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program that fulfills an important need by organizing a rigorous Ph.D.-level curriculum, with sufficient numbers of relevant, frequently-offered courses to serve the needs of Ph.D. students affiliated with program faculty.

The program's Ph.D.-level coursework is essential and forward-looking in areas such as aquatic chemistry, transport in natural systems, hydrometeorology, land-atmosphere interactions, eco-hydrology, hydrogeology, vadose zone hydrology, hydrologic applications of stable isotopes, limnology, hydrologic modeling, hydrological and water quality effects on aquatic organisms, hydroclimatology, hydrologic remote sensing, and watershed hydrology. We produce graduates who are competitive at the national Level for top research and education careers.
