Shattering the Glass Ceiling: Stories of Successful Women ProfessionalsStart: Thursday, November 12, 2009 - 7:00 PM Event Details: This event, will include a panel of accomplished women professionals telling their stories about how they have been successful in their lives/profession including opportunities and challenges they have had to overcome. They were chosen because of the varying career paths their ave taken and the career opportunities that could be available to women from a variety of majors. They each will give brief presentations, followed by discussion and refreshments. There are many different ways in which this program will be of educational value to a wide range of students and professionals. One is by providing informational help for women looking for leadership roles and by encouraging them to strive for excellence. Another way is by providing mentoring opportunities and advice. These women have had many leadership roles throughout their careers, and have also had positions relevant to a broad range of students. In AAFCS we encourage students from all majors at this University to join us in our student group as we use our broad scope of expertise to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities. |
