Professor Alyson Hagy
Interim Associate Vice President for Undergraduate Education and Budgets

Alyson Hagy is the author of seven books of fiction including the story collection Ghosts of Wyoming (Graywolf Press, 2010) and the novel Boleto (Graywolf Press, 2012). A graduate of Williams College and the University of Michigan, where she received her MFA, Hagy's work has won a number of awards, including the Nelson Algren Award, the Pushcart Prize, a fellowship from the National Endowment forthe Arts, and inclusion in Best American Short Stories.  Hagy has been a member of the faculty at UW since 1996 where she has earned recognition for her teaching and research, including the John P. Ellbogen Meritorious Classroom Teaching Award in 2007.  Hagy has also served as UW's Faculty Athletics Representative since 2007 and is currently a member of the Joint Council of the Mountain West Conference and the NCAA Awards, Benefits, Expenses, and Financial Aid Cabinet.
