Steps for Hiring Academic Personnel

Hiring/Termination Paperwork

    • Academic Titles Chart (Use only these titles on academic hiring forms.)
    • Forms
      • Academic Benefited Hiring Form (Specify start date and submit to Academic Affairs as soon as the offer letter has been signed and returned.)
        When submitting form to Academic Affairs, attach the following:
        1) letter of offer (see samples below), 2) verification of acceptance, 3) vita, 4) letters of recommendation, 5) job description and 6) background check
        Note: Transcripts must be sent directly from institution that granted highest degree to the Office of Academic Affairs.
      • Non-Benefited Hiring Form (Specify start date and submit to Academic Affairs as soon as the offer letter has been signed and returned.)
      • Termination Form (Specify last working date and submit to Academic Affairs as soon as written notice of retirement or resignation has been given.  Please clarify in "comment" section if teaching or research obligations extend beyond last day of academic year.)
