Geography Process FAQ's

  • Review of the proposal will follow the process outlined in University of Wyoming Regulation 2-13. The proposal serves as the Provost’s recommendation to the President and Faculty Senate for the reorganization and consolidation of the Geography department, and the review of the Geography undergraduate and graduate programs for reduction.
  • As per University of Wyoming Regulation 2-13, upon this request being made, within 120 days, the President will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees about this proposal. In this particular case, the recommendation will be made by March 1, 2019.
  • During the 120-day period of review, the Provost will seek feedback from all stakeholders, including but not limited to the Faculty Senate, members of the Geography department, other interested faculty, the Staff Senate, ASUW, and any other interested parties. All feedback will be collated and reviewed Academic Affairs and presented to the President by the Provost, along with any revisions to the recommendations by the Provost by February 15, 2019.
