Agricultural and Applied Economics

Community Development, Position Unfilled

The University of Wyoming is seeking applicants for an endowed chair in community development with emphasis on research, teaching, and extension.  The focus of this position would be on the relationship between community economic development, the region's natural resource base, and economic growth.  The successful candidate is expected to: 1) develop and maintain a nationally recognized research and teaching program in community economic development and natural resource policy; 2) communicate research findings to both peer and public audiences, and 3) contribute to the instruction and outreach in community development at the University of Wyoming.  Required qualifications: a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Economics, or equivalent degree with documented experience in regional economics, community economic development, and natural resource policy.  Preferred qualifications: experience with community economic development related issues in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain West.  For more information, see agecon.wyo.edu or contact David "Tex"Taylor, Search Chair, Department of Agricultural Economics, Dept. 3354, 1000 E.
