At the University of Wyoming College of Business, we focus not only on the procedures and conventions followed in accounting, but more importantly, on developing the professional skills essential to future success. Here you will learn the essential skills such as teamwork, listening, communicating (both orally and in writing), synthesis, evaluation, and critical thinking.
To achieve our goals, the Department of Accounting plans for, monitors, and assesses its programs. The B.S. in Accounting is a four-year degree program that prepares students to enter the workforce or to enroll in our M.S. in Accounting program. Students will have explored all aspects of the practice of accounting including: Accounting Information Systems, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, and Auditing.
