Online Application Steps

Please complete the following steps to apply to the MS in Accounting or MS in Finance program.

Step 1:

Complete the University of Wyoming Graduate Admissions Application (UW Graduate Admissions Application).  You will be required to pay a non-refundable $50 application fee for the university application. Please note that you will only have to pay the $50 graduate application fee one time if you are applying to multiple graduate level programs.

Step 2:

Official transcripts from all previous post-secondary institutions attended must be provided (not necessary if UW is the most recent institution attended). Official transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing institution to the University of Wyoming Admissions Department (Dept. 3435, 1000 E. University Ave., Laramie, WY 82071). Copies of each of these transcripts must be uploaded into your online application as well.

Step 3:

Complete the GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) or the GRE (Graduate Record Examination) if required by the program department. Your official test scores must be sent directly to the Master of Science in Accounting or Master of Science in Finance Program by the sponsoring test provider (UW school code:  4855). NOTE: Students interested in identifying if the exam requirement can be waived, need to contact the program office directly at 307-766-2449 or trusse20@uwyo.edu.

Step 4:

Three (3) work- or school-related letters of recommendation must be provided within the online application.  The University of Wyoming Graduate Admissions Application allows you to electronically contact your references by providing their e-mail addresses.

Step 5: (For International Applicants only)

International Applicants (from non-English speaking countries) must complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).  Applicants must score 540 on the Paper-based test (TOEFL PBT) or 76 on the Internet-based test (TOEFL iBT).  Official test scores must be sent directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) to the Master of Science in Accounting or Master of Science in Finance Program.  TOEFL scores are valid for two years after the test date.  International students must also have sufficient financial resources as established by the University of Wyoming (Graduate International Student Admissions).
