The University of Wyoming is proud to offer students who wish to take courses without an official degree status. This is a perfect opportunity for students who wish to pursue higher education courses without the current intention of obtaining a degree and flexibility to discover what interests them without advising appointments. If your plans ever change while you are taking coursework, you can always change your status at a later time.

 

A couple of things to keep in mind with this admission status:

• The non-degree admission status is a special status that is not available to international students.
• This status is not available to students who have a suspension status at UW or any other college or university.
• Non-degree students CANNOT receive financial aid or UW scholarships

Prospective undergraduate and graduate students may elect to enroll in UW undergraduate courses as "non-degree" students.
