Hometown: Rock Springs, Wyoming
College: B.S. Molecular Biology, University of Wyoming
Favorite college memory: I have so many! One of my favorite memories is cheering at the 2009 New Mexico Bowl when Wyoming won in double overtime. The energy of the stadium was something that I will never forget. The rest of my top memories all include traveling – to Peru for a summer, to Australia for a semester abroad, and leading an Alternative Spring Break trip to Costa Rica. I learned so much about the world I live in and I never would have had those experiences without the opportunities that the University of Wyoming provides for International Programs!
Hobbies outside of work: I love anything that has to do with traveling – seeing new parts of the world and hearing stories from people of every walk of life is something that is so exhilarating. I also love to read, cook, and attempt to garden.
Favorite place on campus: I spent a lot of time in the reading room in Coe Library while I was a student. It’s a perfect place to study, and it’s even more perfect to sneak in a mid-study nap break!
Advice to incoming students: Do as much as you can. The time you will spend here will go by in the blink of an eye, and there are so many opportunities to take advantage of. My other piece of advice would be to travel – there are few times in life where you can be paid to travel and learn at the same time, and college is one of them. So take advantage of the scholarship opportunities and get out there!
