Hometown: I was born and raised in Wyoming. My hometown is Moorcroft, Wyoming. I now live on Mare Island in Vallejo, CA, with my husband!
College: I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies.
Favorite college memory: My favorite college memory was getting engaged to my husband outside of the Arena Auditorium. Close second was this amazing dance party that my sorority and I had during an all house retreat!
Hobbies outside of work: I am a big fan of movies, sports, and taking on new adventures!
Favorite place on campus: My favorite place is War Memorial Stadium. No place will make you feel more like you are part of something larger than yourself than a packed stadium full of cheering fans, all shouting for one cause. My favorite building is the Animal Science/Molecular Biology Complex. This building is set up like a giant laboratory and the research that they are doing is groundbreaking and relevant. Also, they have cute little frogs!
Advice to incoming students: Try everything! College is not just about getting an education. It is about finding out who you are and what you stand for. Study abroad, go on outdoor adventure trips, learn how to rock climb, join a new club, try a new food, or have a conversation with someone completely different than you. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
