History

A striking piece of architecture, the classroom building has served as UW studens' main setting for learning since its inception. The unique circular top, which many community members compared to ribs, allows a perfect amount of space for four large classrooms (UW's average class size is 29 students). the main level is also divided in quarters. A unique feature to visitors will be the four distinct murals in each of the sections. Each design was commissioned to depict representations of the four corners of the state of Wyoming.

The Classroom Building has additionally seen a large renovation over the last few years. The investment in classroom upgrades began with a $14.6 million renovation and expansion of the building, completed in March 2007. The building now contains 27 high-end technology spaces, including three triple-projection rooms, 11 dual-projection rooms and 11 single-projection rooms - all featuring DVDs, document cameras, laptop connections, and sound systems with multiple microphone choices.
