FREE Parking Instructions: Monday-Friday Visits

Please allow a few extra minutes to conveniently park in the upper or lower level of the Day Lot off of 15^th Street behind Half Acre Gymnasium. To get there, simply turn West on Willett from 15th Street. Once you park, go to the machine and select the amount of time that you would like to park for (make sure to cover your entire visit). Press the "Buy" button, followed by "#" on the numeric key pad, followed by your seven digit code parking code. This code will be provided in your confirmation email. Hit the "Okay" button and your parking permit will be dispensed. The building just south of Half Acre is the Union, and Knight Hall is right across the street from there. Head to Pre-College and Student Visit Programs in room 106 Knight Hall.

Places to Park:

1. The Day Lot (process described above- preferred option!)
2. The Union Express shuttle lot on 30th and Willett (board the Union Express shuttle to ride to the main campus)
3. An A, C, or R space if you display a UW permit ($5, for sale at the Union Info Desk)
4. A metered space next to Knight Hall (you must pay the meter, it is $1/hr, 2 hour max)

Places NOT to Park:

1. The residential neighborhoods (marked City Parking Permit) surrounding campus (tickets are $50)
2. A yellow zone, handicapped space (unless authorized), or specialty zones (such as a U permit)

Coming on a Saturday for Discovery Day or Showcase Saturday? While "R" parking by the halls is enforced 24/7, you'll find many other available parking spaces are enforced Monday-Friday only. Try the "A" lot by the Union, no permit required on the weekends.
