Philip White Papers, 1969-2006

Accession Number 12568, 1.25 cubic ft. (2 boxes). Collection contains letters to the editor, copies of the Branding Iron student newspaper and other materials received by Phil White, who served as editor of the Branding Iron in 1969 until shortly after the dismissal of fourteen University of Wyoming African-Americans from the football team in 1969.

Irene L. Kuttunen Schubert Black 14 Collection, 1969-1970

Accession Number 10405, .7 cubic ft. (2 boxes). Collection contains materials collected by former University of Wyoming employee Irene Schubert regarding the dismissal of 14 black players from the University of Wyoming�s football team in October 1969. The collection includes armbands, audiotapes of meetings, biographical data of the dismissed players, statements and press releases, photographs of demonstrations, newspaper clippings from around Wyoming and the country, issues of the student publication Revelations and other protest newsletters, and miscellaneous other materials.

Office of the President Records, 1883-1993

Accession Number 510000, approximately 351 cubic ft. (467 boxes). Collection contains an in-depth history of the University of Wyoming Presidents� Office, encompassing a wide range of financial, budgetary, and administrative functions. Of special interest are the three boxes of office files relating to President William D. Carlson�s term as president from 1968-1977, including a 1998 reminiscence entitled �Four Seasons in Laramie: Adventures of a University President.�
