Health Careers Summer Camp 2013 - Application Deadline is May 1.
Due to the popularity of the camp, this year AHEC will host two separate camps. While the two camps are basically identical, students will be eligible to apply to only ONE of the camps, based on their grade in school at the time of application.
Week I - For students currently in 8th or 9th grade: July 7th - 12th.
Week II - For students currently in 10th or 11th grade: July 14th - 19th.
Cost: $50.00
Purpose of Camp:
The Wyoming AHEC Summer Camp is designed to expose high school students to the different healthcare careers available in Wyoming. This five day residential camp on the University of Wyoming campus will allow students to:
- Explore a variety of health careers through interactive workshops.

- Learn from health professionals and college instructors.
- Identify the skills needed for careers in healthcare
- Experience dorm living and campus life.

What will I do at camp?
- Participate in hands-on workshops.
- Explore anatomy in UW's Human Cadaver Lab.
- Tour UW, Laramie County Community College, and Ivinson Memorial Hospital.
- Learn about college admissions, financial aid opportunities and job prospects.
- Plan your future in healthcare from high school and beyond.
- Meet other students with similar interests.
- Enjoy social activities.
