FOIA

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Program is mandated by Congress and applies to all governmental agencies. The program allows the public to request information pertaining to an agency's functions, practices,and future plans. Anyone may request records under the FOIA. Public disclosure is mandatory unless exempted under Title 5 U.S.C. 552. In accordance with the Electronic Freedom of Information Act Amendments of 1996, agencies have 20 work days to respond to a FOIA request. Lt Col Anthony Kusek

Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Kusek is the Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies assigned to Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 940, University of Wyoming. In this capacity, he is responsible to recruit, train and develop high quality cadets into officers for the US Air Force from a cadet wing comprised of approximately 100 members. Lt Col Kusek is a Reserve Officer with 24 years of varying experiences in four separate career specialties to include: instruction; aircraft maintenance; munitions maintenance; and acquisitions. He received his commission in 1995 from AFROTC Detachment 207 at Parks College of St. Louis University. His assignments include a breadth of both aircraft and munitions maintenance roles through the squadron commander and deputy group commander level. Upon separation from active duty in 2008, Lt Col Kusek served as an Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) as a member of the USAF Reserves while working for Honeywell Aerospace as a quality and production manager. Prior to this assignment, Lt Col Kusek served as the AFROTC detachment operations officer at both Arizona State University and Virginia Military Institute.

Maj Richard Landsverk

Major Richard Landsverk is the Operations Flight Commander/Recruiting Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 940 at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, Wyo. He leads planning and organization for weekly Practical Military Training to include Leadership Lab and Physical Training. He is responsible for cadet actions to include scholarship nominations, Professional Officer Course selection and contracting/commissioning. In addition, he is responsible for recruiting, training and evaluating the detachment’s Reserve Officer Training Corps cadets for initial accession into the United States Air Force as commissioned officers. Major Landsverk enlisted in the Air Force in 1998 and completed college courses from nine different schools before earning his Natural Sciences degree from Thomas Edison University in Trenton, New Jersey in 2008. He later completed his Master’s degree in Leadership through Bellevue, Nebraska in 2011. Major Landsverk commissioned through Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base in 2009. During his 20+ years of active service, he has held a variety of leadership positions at the base and Major Command (MAJCOM) levels in weather operations. Prior to his current position, he was a Meteorological and Oceanographic (METOC) Effects Officer aboard the Airborne Command Post (ABNCP), United States Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Nebraska.
