Lee Golden

Lee Golden, BA '63 
Northwest Region, Term 2015- 2019
Lee's time at the University were happy and formative years.  He believes that what he learned both in and out of the classroom helped shape his work ethic and professional career.  He has had many jobs at the University and in Laramie including working in the Athletic Dorm kitchen, delivering mail from the campus post office, and co-managing Bob’s Big Boy which at the time was the most popular hamburger establishment in east Laramie.  Lee's campus activities included:
AFROTC - named outstanding junior and outstanding senior cadet
Arnold Air Society - Executive Officer
Angel Flight - supervised organization and coached the Angel Flight Drill Team
Wyoming Track Team - lettered 3 years
Sigma Chi fraternity

Upon graduation with a BA in Secondary Education, Lee was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force and served 24+ years retiring in the grade of colonel.  His assignments included a tour in Viet Nam and two tours at the Air Force Academy.  After retiring from the Air Force he worked for 15 years at the University of Portland in both a staff and faculty positions and two years at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, WA the last position as Interim Vice President for University Relations. He currently works as a realtor in Vancouver, WA. Lee has been married to his wife Dolores for 49 years and they reside in Vancouver, WA.  They have two adult children and two grandchildren all of whom live within 30 minutes of them.
