The UWAA staff coordinates an annual spring scholarship auction which funds an average of 40 scholarships a year. The annual auction, held in various towns throughout Wyoming, helps us meet our yearly $100,000 funding obligation. Alumni, friends and community members are always welcome to attend.
Many thanks to the people of Laramie and the surrounding areas for their generosity in making the 2012 auction a success. The event was attended by over 180 people, netting an all-time record of $45,157 which will be used to fund future scholarships.
The 2013 auction will be held in Gillette on April 20.

Students are selected as graduating high school seniors on the basis of academic excellence, leadership, extra-curricular activities and an essay on why they wish to attend the University of Wyoming. The scholarships are made available to students for their four years at UW.
Additional four-year scholarships have been added to include Veteran's and under represented multi-cultural students. These awards are all four-year scholarships of $1500 per year. In addition, the association offers three two-year $1500 scholarships for Wyoming community college transfer students, three one-year $1500 scholarships to outstanding UW juniors or seniors, and a one-year $1500 scholarship to a UW graduate student. Each scholarship has specific application criteria.
