The support of Scholarship Club members allows the UW Alumni Association to provide four-year scholarships and single-year awards to over 50 deserving students each year. The application deadline falls in March; please check current applications for specific details. Over $100,000 is awarded annually through this outstanding program. Learn more about becoming a Scholarship Club donor.
Recipients are selected annually from five Wyoming districts. Two awards are given to students with out-of-state residency. For out-of-state awards, at least one parent must be an alum. One scholarship is reserved for the child of an in-state UWAA member, as well as five awards for Wyoming community college transfer students. Additional four-year scholarships have been added to include Veteran's and under represented multicultural students. These awards are all four-year scholarships of $1500 per year. In addition, the association offers three one-year $1500 scholarships to outstanding UW juniors or seniors, and a one-year $1500 scholarship to a UW graduate student. Each scholarship has specific application criteria.
PLEASE NOTE: INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS OR APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER DEADLINE WILL NOT BE SUBMITTED FOR EVALUATION. Get scholarship applications now.
In addition to UWAA scholarships, the association coordinates selection for the Mary Lou Rechard Memorial Scholarship, the Platte Valley National Bank Scholarship, the Shaw Family Scholarship, the Hershler/Skinner Family Memorial Scholarship, the Fred Gray Memorial Scholarship, the Charles A. Viox Memorial Scholarship and the Tuff Samuelson memorial scholarship. Named scholarship applications are available here.
PLEASE NOTE: Some UW License Plate Program scholarships are awarded by a UW Student Financial Aid Committee. There is a separate application process for these scholarships. Click the following link to get information about these awards: http://www.uwyo.edu/sfa/scholarships/misc/license_plate.html

Dear Mr. Fry,
I am very grateful that you have chosen me for the Multicultural Chapter Scholarship from the UWAA. I, like many other freshman, am just starting out on my own and need every bit of help I can receive. This is an incredible scholarship to receive because I know it will benefit my education with tuition payments, meaning I can stress about one less thing as a freshman.
I'm the first in my family to start a degree at the undergraduate level and the Multicultural Chapter Scholarship makes it seem much more possible than when I first applied to UW. I feel so fortunate to represent a scholarship that honors multicultural students who are trying to make a future for themselves. I'm looking forward to being successful in my future for myself, my family, and my future followers.
Thank you once again and I am looking forward to making my mark at UW this fall.
Sincerely,
Ana Villasenor
