Melson receives NACTA Graduate Assistant Award of Merit

Emily Melson received the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) Graduate Assistant Award of Merit from Dr. Donna Brown, Associate Dean in UW College of Agriculture & Natural Resources and Director of Academic Programs.  Emily was selected for her outstanding efforts in teaching three laboratory sections of Life Sciences 1010 (General Biology) last fall semester while also taking graduate courses of her own.  Student evaluations included comments such as “This lab was my favorite part of the semester and Emily contributed to that.  She was always available to help if I didn’t understand something.  She graded tough but helped me improve my writing skills.”   Congratulations to Emily for her demonstrated excellence in graduate teaching!
