2015 Cowboy Youth Classic

The 2015 Cowboy Youth Classic featuring beef, goat, hog and lamb fitting and showing clinics will be held June 19th and 20th at the Albany County Fairgrounds.

Registration for the 2015 Cowboy Youth Classic is now open. Click here to register.  All registration will be online this year. We will not be accepting early payments, all payment is expected the at check-in (June 20th). If you need assistance with registration please contact McKenzi Digby at (307) 766-4214 or

Registrations are due by June 10, 2015. 

Registration fees are:
       $25/head for steer and heifer projects
       $15/head for sheep/swine/goats
       $5/species for showmanship
       $10 per animal late fee for anything registered after June 10, 2015.

CYC t-shirts are only guaranteed for registrations received by noon on June 10th. 

Guidelines for Cowboy Youth Classic swine exhibitors:

  • CYC will follow guidelines provided by the Wyoming Livestock Board.
  • All swine exhibitors must provide a signed affidavit to exhibit, as well as an import CVI (Certificate of Veterinary Inspection) for swine born outside of Wyoming. 
  • A Swine Exhibition Affidavit will be required for all swine. Swine Exhibition Affidavit

Health Inspection Papers will be required for all other out-of-state animals.  Thank you!


FRIDAY,  June 19th

  • 8:00 AM Barn Opens
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Hoof Trimming ($20.00/head, cash only)
  • 9:30 AM Beef Weigh & Check In
  • 9:30 AM Lamb/Goat Weigh & Check In; followed by Swine Weigh & Check In
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Fitting and Showing Workshops at the Fairgrounds (Mandatory)
  • 3:00 - 5:00 PM Workshops  (Mandatory)
    • Meat Quality Assurance
    • Livestock Judging
    • Farm Safety
    • Bio-security
  • 5:30 PM Tour of Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center

SATURDAY, June 20th @ 9 AM  (Shows immediately follow the previous show)

  • Market Swine Show
  • Market Sheep Show
  • Market Goat Show
  • Beef Show


  • The annual show/clinic and workshops will be held at the Albany County Fairgrounds.  The fairgrounds are located at 3520 U.S. 287, Laramie, WY.
  • There will be a $5.00 refundable pen charge.  Money will be refunded after your pen has been cleaned out and checked by CYC staff.
  • Please bring $20.00 in cash if you would like to have hooves trimmed.
  • Bear Bait concessions will be available on Saturday at the fairgrounds.

Directions to the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center from the Fair Grounds:

  • Make a Left out of the Fairgrounds (South on US 287)
  • Turn Right onto E Grand Avenue
  • Turn Left onto 22nd St
  • Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center will be the 1st building on the Left.
