Chaoqun Zhu is a Ph.D. student with Dr. Wei Guo. Together, they are seeking to understand the molecular mechanisms of RNA binding motif protein 20 (RBM20) in regulating cardiac and smooth muscle stiffness in cardiovascular disease. Chaoqun's career interest includes securing a faculty position that allows her to contribute to the research efforts of a university. Chaoqun is from Ningbo, China. Rexiati Maimaiti is a Ph.D. student with the University of Wyoming Animal Science Department. Together, advisor Dr. Wei Guo and Rexiati are working to understand the molecular mechanisms of RNA binding motif 20 (RBM20) in regulating skeletal muscle growth, regeneration and myopathy. Mingming Sun is a Ph.D. student working with Dr. Wei Guo. His research interests include the molecular mechanism of cardiac disease and diabetes. Within this area of study, Mingming is primarily focused on the involved pathway and modification of RNA binding motif protein 20 (RBM20, a splicing factor). After his program is finished, Mingming wishes to secure a job that allows him the opportunity to apply the principles of animal and biomedical sciences to daily life. Hometown: Fuyang, Anhui, China.
