Muscle Biology

The Muscle Biology lab established by Dr. Guo in the fall of 2014 focuses on the study of skeletal muscle growth, skeletal muscle regeneration, and heart muscle diseases. The tools and methods used in the lab include: myocyte contractility, force generation measurements, vecotr constructs, gene manipulation, cell biology and biochemistry analysis. Currently there is one graduate student, one postdoctoral student, and one lab assistant conducting research in Dr. Guo's Muscle Biology Lab.

News/Publications

Since August of 2013, the Muscle Biology Lab has had two papers published in high impact journals, as well as submitted and presented eight abstracts in national and internal meetings; the lab members received two travel awards and one outstanding presentation award in national and international conferences.
