We strongly encourage students to visit the beautiful University of Wyoming campus when you apply to UW Anthropology. It is easier for us to make admission decisions if we can put a face to an application, and it is easier for you to decide if Wyoming is right for you through a visit.
You should arrange to visit at least two weeks before application deadlines (Dec. 15 for PhD students, March 1 for MA students). Check with the faculty you wish to speak with through e-mail to make sure they will be available, and then arrange your visit with either the graduate director or with a faculty member that you wish to be your adviser.
You should plan to meet with graduate students as well, so it is preferable to visit campus at a time when the students will be here. We will help with this arrangement as well.
