The staff at the UW Art Museum have scrutinized more than 8,000 objects in storage to present their favorite works from the permanent collection. With so many objects in the collection, it’s a challenge to exhibit everything, and many of these works have not been exhibited before. Each staff member, not all of whom work with artwork on a regular basis, present their diverse perspectives and explain why they selected the work they did. The Staff Selects exhibition is an opportunity to see a unique range of works from the collection and learn about them from the perspective of those who work in the building every day. The last Staff Selects exhibition was held in 2006. With an ever-increasing number of works in the collection, and new staff members, this exhibition gathers works of art together in a never-before-seen way!
